This is my third sculpture. She is an original character.
TITLE: Unnamed Heroine
I have not yet named this futuristic heroine.
WORK DESCRIPTION:
The character design and the pose are my original ideas. I have had this image of a very athletic, futuristic heroine descending from above, and landed in a crouching position. Upon landing, she was somehow forced back. So, her left leg moved back to resist the backward slide, with her right arm steadying, as she was readying her strike-back with the weapon/device in her left arm.
The figure measures 5 inches (12.7 cm) tall and 6-3/4 inches (17.1 cm) from heel to toe. The photo as shown is about the real size. She is in approximately 1/8-scale. I used a resin cast from the 'Making of Catwoman Sculpture' as the starting point and layered on the new outfit. The base 'catwoman' sculpture took 50 hours to sculpt. The modifications made to the base figure took 16 hours. So, the total sculpting effort took 66 hours, over a three-month period from 12/19/08 to 3/22/09.
I sinfully admit that I love this one more than the catwoman one! I love the details on the outfit and all the lines nad creases... this one will be awesome
This one's definetly my favourite from what I saw, reminds me of a character I sketched out this morning(I'm more of a comic artist
