: Catwoman Readies to StrikeWORK DESCRIPTION
:The Catwoman was provoked and cornered; you can see the fury in her eyes (even when unpainted). I have had this image of an emotionally hurt Catwoman, descending from above, and landed in a crouching position. Upon landing, she was forced back and cornered. So, her left leg moved back to resist the backward slide, with her right arm steadying, as she was readying her strike-back with her whip.
The figure measures 5 inches (12.7 cm) tall and 6-3/4 inches (17.1 cm) from heel to toe. The photo as shown (in full view) is about 50% larger than the real size. She is in approximately 1/8-scale.
I used a resin cast from the 'Making of Catwoman Sculpture'
as the starting point and re-sculpted a new face, before layering on the mask. The base 'catwoman' sculpture took 50 hours to sculpt. The modifications made to the base figure took an additional 8 hours. So, the total sculpting effort took 58 hours, over a three-month period from 12/19/08 to 3/24/09.FIGURE AVAILABILITY
