Angelic Belldandy Wishing Atop Snowcap

Belldandy's always-positive outlook remind me that hope springs eternal. I really like the angelic serenity and essence of purity captured in this pose.

This Belldandy is a resin figure that I custom built and painted. It was customized from a garage kit (GK). The modifications/build, assembly and paint work took over 100 hours, over a span of nine months.

The figure is 1/12-scale, measuring 6.0 inches tall (15.2 cm), excluding the snowcap mountain base. Her face is about the size of pinky fingernail. For a sense of the tiny scale, please see Making of Angelic Belldandy.

She is entirely hand-brushed by me.

The following list shows significant modifications I made to the basic GK:
- This Belldandy's wings were donated to another figure I made: Custom Urd Figure, Pose 3
- Extensive putty work on the existing hair pieces.
- Added hair strands and the bangs.
- Modified her back.
- Modified the mountain base, so that it is jagged on all sides.

For those who do not recognize the character, she is Belldandy, the Goddess of Present, from the manga/anime Ah! My Goddess (character copyright: Kousuke Fujishima).
